 In line with SDG 3 [ Good Health and Wellbeing] In collaboration with or under the guidance of a qualified public health nurse, the project shall provide basic health needs of the community making use of IEC materials and methods.

  • Provide young person’s desirous of future career in medicine an insight into the profession.
  • Provide an opportunity for medical professionals who want to make a difference by volunteering in their skills in deprived communities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the donation of medical supplies, equipment to rural health facilities.

Working with and under the supervision of local trained public health staff you shall:

  1. Assist in developing IEC materials to create awareness on the causes and prevention of very common diseases that affect the local folks
  2.  
  3. Participate in giving free health screening to community folks (Blood Pressure, Weight, Fasting blood sugar, malaria)
  4. Support and actively participate in Child Welfare Clinics in rural communities (Weighing of newly born babies, recording and updating their mandatory vaccination for the babies)
  5. Conduct health checks and raise awareness about diseases and correct misconceptions about certain disease conditions in disadvantaged communities.
  • You will have a thorough induction on arrival

  • Leisure / Excursion / Cultural activities.
  • Hands – on medical work.
  • Gain insights into health care challenges of disadvantaged communities
  • Help provide free medical screening and awareness creation on health issues.
  • Certificate of recognition for successful completion of project
  • Have a long-standing relationship with a typical Ghanaian family and communities.
  • Volunteer in Ghana to help improve access to basic health care for Children and the Aged.
  • Work local health staff to provide basic health care services to rural communities
  • Assist Public health staff at community welfare clinics
  • Undertake Community outreaches; Awareness creation, Free Community Medical Screening.
